The relatives of teenagers unaccounted for after a tragic fire at a bar in a Swiss alpine town are confronting an agonising period of uncertainty for official news and appealing for clues about their family members online.

The blaze devastated the Le Constellation bar in the alpine resort, located in the mountains of south-west Switzerland, in the early hours of January 1st. Confirmed footage show the ceiling catching alight as beverages with fireworks are held aloft.

Authorities have warned that it could take days if not weeks to identify the victims of the tragedy, which resulted in the death of four dozen individuals and injured another 119. Officials said on the latest update that the majority of the injured have been accounted for, with the process continuing to name the other six.

In the interim, loved ones have been using social media to plead for any news about their missing relatives who were in attendance that fateful night.

Heartbreaking Pleas for the Unaccounted For

The fate of teenager from Switzerland Arthur Brodard, 16, are currently unknown, according to an public plea from his parent.
